End User Device Engineer

About the role

Our client, a public services organisation, is looking for an End User Device (EUD) Engineer to join a six‑month on‑site assignment in Southampton. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality support for Windows 10 desktops, laptops and smartphones, ensuring service continuity and meeting agreed SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line customer support, handling incidents, requests and problems within SLA targets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EUD issues across Windows 10 PCs, laptops and mobile devices.
• Identify trends, create knowledge‑base articles and update documentation in collaboration with the EUD Senior Engineer.
• Assist with moves, projects and technology provisioning to maintain proactive service delivery.
• Meet KPI, User Experience Agreement and SLA commitments while adhering to asset‑management governance.
• Escalate service‑improvement opportunities to senior engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ICT operational delivery, supporting Windows 10, laptops, desktops and smartphones.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve incidents, requests and problems effectively.
• Strong customer‑service mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Full clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel to multiple sites.
• Ability to produce procedural and knowledge‑base documentation.

What we offer

• Daily rate of £250 (inside IR35) paid via an umbrella company.
• Full‑time, 37‑hour week on‑site in Southampton.
• Six‑month contract with potential for extension.
