About the role
We are looking for an Energy & Financial Wellbeing Adviser to join Money Matters, a Glasgow‑based charity supporting individuals and families with financial hardship. In this full‑time, four‑day week position you will deliver holistic advice covering energy, benefits, debt and overall financial resilience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide tailored energy advice and help clients access utility support.
- Assess eligibility and assist with welfare benefits, including Universal Credit.
- Support income maximisation and debt management strategies.
- Maintain case files, record outcomes and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with partner organisations, utility providers and referral agencies across Glasgow and surrounding areas.
Required profile
- Experience in welfare rights, money advice, debt advice or a similar advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of benefits legislation, particularly Universal Credit.
- Excellent communication and case‑management abilities.
- Person‑centred approach with ability to handle a varied caseload.
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
