Energy Manager – Temporary (3‑month contract)

About the role

The council in Hampshire seeks an Energy Manager for an initial three‑month assignment, with the possibility of extension. You will lead the optimisation of energy and water use across council services, ensuring investments deliver measurable efficiency gains.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and monitor investment programmes in energy and water efficiency.
• Coordinate corporate energy‑saving initiatives and implement efficiency measures.
• Track energy consumption, identify reduction opportunities, and recommend renewable solutions.
• Develop and manage energy partnerships, including potential ESCO arrangements.

Required profile

• Experience in managing energy use within public sector or large organisations.
• Strong understanding of energy efficiency, water conservation and renewable technologies.
• Ability to analyse consumption data and produce actionable recommendations.

Required skills

• Energy monitoring and reporting.
• Knowledge of ESCO models and partnership development.
