Enforcement Agent – Portsmouth

About the role

The Enforcement Agent will work across Portsmouth and surrounding areas, visiting customers' homes and businesses to recover debts on behalf of clients. You will negotiate payments, take control of goods when necessary, and support vulnerable customers.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customers' homes and businesses within a designated geographical area
• Negotiate professionally to maximise successful recoveries
• Take payments, set up arrangements and complete income questionnaires
• Take control of goods in compliance with regulations
• Maintain accurate case notes, visit reports and payment records
• Identify and support customer vulnerability, referring where appropriate

Required profile

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Confidence handling difficult and sensitive conversations
• Ability to stay calm, firm and fair
• Target‑driven with a results‑oriented mindset
• Good time‑management and self‑organisation
• Respectful attitude and sound judgement
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Free of CCJs and a clean criminal record
