Engagement Consultant

About the role

WSP is seeking an enthusiastic Engagement Consultant to join its UK Engagement team. You will support the delivery of stakeholder engagement, public consultation and communication programmes across a wide range of infrastructure and development projects, helping clients build trusted relationships with communities.

Key responsibilities

• Create clear, engaging communications that explain project impacts to communities and stakeholders.
• Support the planning and execution of public consultations, workshops, webinars, surveys and other engagement activities.
• Analyse feedback, identify key themes and present findings in reports with actionable recommendations.
• Develop engagement materials such as websites, brochures, fact sheets, posters, banners and public‑facing maps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure engagement activities are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
• Contribute to the development of engagement strategies, plans and reporting frameworks.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified or equivalent experience in communications, engagement, public affairs or a related field.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into plain‑English content.
• Experience producing communication materials for public or stakeholder audiences.
