Engagement Officer

About the role

The Engagement Officer will support senior stakeholder engagement and equality & participation leads within NHS 24, Scotland’s national tele‑health and tele‑care service. Working from the Cardonald centre, the role involves planning and delivering engagement programmes that inform service development and promote the organisation’s multi‑channel health and care offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation and evaluation of stakeholder engagement strategies and programmes.
• Identify and develop creative opportunities to raise awareness of NHS 24 services both internally and externally.
• Arrange, chair and document meetings, preparing agendas, papers and briefing notes for engagement forums.
• Collaborate with directorate colleagues to ensure insights from engagement activities are fed back into service design.
• Support the promotion of NHS 24’s health advice and information services across regional centres.

Required profile

• Proven experience planning and delivering engagement activities in a fast‑paced, complex or multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, communities and partner organisations.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a collaborative approach to service development.
• Willingness to travel between regional centres as required.
