Engineering Estimator – Aerospace (Up to £60k)

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Estimator to join a prestigious aerospace company in Verwood. The role involves producing accurate quotations, supporting cost‑control initiatives and collaborating with customers and suppliers in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret detailed engineering drawings and translate them into cost estimates.
• Prepare quotations promptly while ensuring profitability.
• Apply AS9100 and other quality standards to all estimating activities.
• Utilise CNC machining knowledge, including turning and milling, to assess production timings.
• Lead continuous‑improvement and change‑management projects within the sub‑contract machine shop.
• Maintain OHSE compliance and promote safe working practices.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to an ever‑changing product portfolio.

Required profile

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in quotation preparation and cost estimation.
• Effective communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Good understanding of machining methods, tool capabilities and production processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
