Engineering Manager – Advanced Technology & Project Execution

About the role

The Engineering Manager – Advanced Technology & Project Execution leads a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering advanced technology development programmes from concept through technology maturation. Reporting to the Senior R&D Manager, the role combines engineering leadership, project execution, technical coordination, resource planning and financial management to ensure successful delivery of complex R&D initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Lead execution of advanced technology development programmes.
• Establish execution rigor through integrated schedules, milestones and ownership.
• Coordinate execution across multiple engineering functions within a global matrix organisation.
• Work closely with technical leaders, program managers, finance and business leadership to remove barriers, manage priorities and deliver technology on schedule and within budget.
• Oversee engineers supporting a portfolio of technologies including Control Systems, Propulsion, Power Systems, Photonics, Optical Technologies and other emerging disciplines.

Required profile

• Broad engineering background with the ability to understand complex technical challenges at a systems level.
• Experience operating in a global matrix organisation and coordinating across multiple engineering functions.
