Engineering Manager – Connectivity

About the role

Anthropic is building the most connected AI through its Connectivity team, which powers tool use across Claude products. As Engineering Manager you will lead a London‑based team that designs and operates the MCP proxy, OAuth, and token‑management infrastructure, ensuring reliability and enterprise trust.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineers building connectivity infrastructure, including the MCP proxy, OAuth flows, and token management.
• Partner with San Francisco leadership, product, security, and platform teams to define roadmap and align cross‑site delivery.
• Establish engineering best practices such as on‑call rotation, incident response, and post‑mortems for critical infrastructure.
• Drive cross‑team alignment for Claude.ai, Claude Code, Cowork, and the API.
• Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering an inclusive and high‑performing culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring and performance management.
• Strong backend or platform engineering background with ability to guide architectural decisions.
• Hands‑on experience operating production distributed systems at scale.
• Excellent communication skills for consensus building across time zones.
