Engineering Manager – High Voltage Transmission (Contract)

About the role
We are seeking two Engineering Managers to join an engineering contractor working on a high‑voltage transmission project in Scotland. The role is based on a hybrid model, requiring 3‑4 days per week in the office, and is offered on a PAYE basis within IR35.
Key responsibilities
- Review detailed design documents to ensure compliance with client (SSE) standards.
- Address technical queries raised by the client throughout the design phase.
- Liaise closely with the construction team to verify buildability of designs.
- Support the project during its detailed design stage and ensure seamless handover to construction.
Required profile
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience in high‑voltage transmission projects is essential.
- Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is desirable but not mandatory.
