Engineering Manager – Structural Engineering, Bridges

About the role

We are partnering with a leading Canadian infrastructure manufacturer to find an Engineering Manager for its Structural Engineering team. The role will lead the design and delivery of major steel bridge and structural projects across Canada, balancing technical excellence with people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary structural engineering team delivering complex bridge and infrastructure projects.
• Mentor and develop engineers, EITs, and designers, fostering technical growth and best practices.
• Establish and maintain technical standards, design procedures, and quality controls.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership to define technical direction and project strategy.
• Ensure projects meet safety, regulatory, and client requirements while staying on schedule and budget.

Required profile

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with extensive experience in structural and bridge engineering.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams in a consulting or design environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence technical decisions at senior levels.
