Engineering Project Manager

About the role

Premier Foods is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead capital, revenue and continuous improvement projects at its Ambrosia Creamery in Lifton, Devon. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will take projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring they meet safety, compliance and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple engineering projects from feasibility to completion.
• Lead project planning, define scope, budgets, timelines and risk assessments.
• Ensure designs comply with food safety, hygiene and statutory standards.
• Oversee contractors and suppliers with a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement, KPI delivery and cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering engineering projects in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong end‑to‑end project management capability, including capital governance.
• Experience managing contractors and third‑party suppliers safely and effectively.
• Solid engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
• Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
