Engineering Project Manager – Maritime (SC Clearable)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead complex maritime projects. The role suits candidates who have moved from an engineering discipline into project management and can engage confidently with customers and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects on time, within budget and to specification.
• Plan, resource and execute projects, including Non‑Recurring Engineering (NRE) cost estimations.
• Monitor project costs and report deviations.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, milestones and deliverables.
• Work closely with engineering teams across design, integration, manufacturing and testing.
• Engage with customers on technical and project matters.
• Support the full product lifecycle from concept through manufacture and deployment.
• Develop technical documentation, specifications and testing activities.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies.
• Lead project and gateway reviews and ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide clear project visibility to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background with ability to engage technical teams and customers.
• Proven experience delivering projects with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of product development lifecycles.
• Excellent customer‑facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance.
• Experience in defence, maritime or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
