Engineering Supervisor – Food Processing Plant

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the engineering team at a major privately‑owned food processing plant in Glasgow. Reporting to the Engineering Management team, you will oversee day‑to‑day maintenance, drive engineering projects and champion continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
• Identify root causes of recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Lead new equipment installations, process improvement and energy‑efficiency projects.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant legislation and safe work practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop standard operating procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and apprentices, providing technical guidance and training.

Required profile

• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing maintenance.
• Relevant engineering qualification such as HNC/HND or an apprenticeship.
