Engineering Supervisor – Luxury Hotel

About the role
We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the engineering team at Jumeirah Carlton Tower, a landmark luxury hotel in Knightsbridge, London. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of all engineering services, upholding Jumeirah’s high standards of safety and guest experience.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of team leaders and staff, ensuring compliance with Jumeirah procedures.
- Inspect completed repair and maintenance work to verify it meets required standards and specifications.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the Jumeirah Engineering Management System (JEMS), covering fire safety, life safety, preventive maintenance and work orders.
- Address grievances, suggestions and complaints from colleagues, escalating to the Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer as needed.
- Maintain familiarity with all Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures.
Required profile
- NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
- IOSH or equivalent health and safety certification.
- Proven stakeholder management with internal teams, guests, contractors and suppliers.
- Strong leadership, team and project management abilities.
- Solution‑oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
