Engineering Supervisor / Team Leader – Heavy Industry

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor / Team Leader to join a leading heavy‑industrial manufacturing organisation in Portbury. You will lead a team of six engineers, overseeing daily operations, shift handovers and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Delegate workloads and supervise a team of six engineers.
• Maintain and optimise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ensure accurate shift handovers and adherence to schedules.
• Manage projects aimed at improving production performance.
• Provide hands‑on technical support when required.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Electrical bias with a recognised electrical qualification.
• Strong process and operational knowledge.
• Experience with process control systems, particularly PLCs.
• Willingness to work hands‑on and support the engineering team.
