Engineering Surveyor – Civil Construction Project

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Surveyor to join the KierBAM JV 10 Docks civil engineering project at Devonport Royal Docks, Plymouth. You will support the survey team by delivering accurate survey data, modelling services and on‑site assistance throughout the construction phases.

Key responsibilities

• Check and maintain survey control networks.
• Conduct assurance surveys for reinforced‑concrete structures, including pre‑pour and post‑pour checks.
• Perform as‑built surveys using laser scanning and create point‑cloud models.
• Ensure survey data is captured and recorded to project QA/QC standards.
• Operate survey equipment with high precision in a civil environment.
• Support engineers with setting‑out activities to ensure consistent surveying approaches.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Surveying or Construction.
• Experience in surveying and construction industries, preferably on civil engineering projects.
• CSCS Card and relevant site safety qualifications.
• Eligibility for BPSS security clearance (no sponsorship available).

Required skills

• Total stations, GPS/GNSS and laser scanning equipment.
• Survey data processing software: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica Infinity, Leica Cyclone, Leica 3DR.
