Engineering Tutor – Apprenticeship Training

About the role

The Engineering Tutor will deliver classroom‑based training and support apprentices following the Engineering Technician Standard. You will help learners build technical knowledge in engineering principles, mathematics and scientific concepts, ideal for engineers transitioning into education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning to Engineering apprentices.
• Teach knowledge components of the Engineering Technician Standard, covering engineering principles, mathematics, scientific principles and technical theory.
• Coach and mentor apprentices throughout their programme, monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records.
• Develop lesson plans and learning resources aligned with workplace requirements.
• Collaborate with employers to ensure training meets their needs and support apprentices to achieve their qualifications.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering.
• Strong engineering industry experience.
• Ability to explain engineering concepts, mathematics and scientific principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
