English Graduate Teaching Assistant

About the role
This full‑time, term‑time position offers recent graduates the chance to gain hands‑on classroom experience in secondary schools across West London. You will support English lessons, work with individual pupils and small groups, and help create an inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging English lessons.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support, including for students with SEN.
- Help develop students' academic and personal skills, fostering social and emotional growth.
- Support classroom behaviour management and promote a positive atmosphere.
- Prepare and organise teaching resources to enhance lesson delivery.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to monitor progress and implement learning strategies.
Required profile
- Degree level education in English or a related subject.
- Previous experience in a school setting or tutoring (preferred but not essential).
- Enthusiastic, professional and friendly approach.
- Experience or knowledge of supporting children with special educational needs.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
