English Graduate Teaching Assistant

About the role

An outstanding secondary school in Islington is looking for a dedicated English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2026 to July 2027. You will support students across all year groups, delivering targeted English interventions and assisting teachers in lesson delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑class support to students who need additional help with English.
• Deliver targeted interventions to small groups from Year 7 to Year 11.
• Support sixth‑form students with more advanced English skills.
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Help raise attainment and confidence in English across the school.

Required profile

• A degree in English or a related subject.
• Strong academic background and a passion for education.
• Interest in pursuing a career in teaching.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage students of all abilities.
