English Language Examiner for Pearson PEIC (Written & Oral)

About the role

Pearson is seeking qualified English language professionals to act as written and oral examiners for the Pearson English International Certification (PEIC) for General and Young Learners. Examiners play a crucial part in assessing candidates, ensuring standards are met and supporting learners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assess written and oral exam scripts according to Pearson’s marking criteria.
• Provide accurate, timely feedback and scores for each candidate.
• Complete mandatory online training modules and apply the training in practice.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold assessment integrity.
• Meet assessment deadlines and manage workload under pressure.

Required profile

• At least one academic year of teaching experience within the last eight years.
• Experience teaching GCSE English Language, ESOL or EFL in a school setting.
• Native‑level or C2‑level English proficiency.
• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., TEFL, EFL, or other recognized certification).
