English Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic English Lecturer to join our supportive team at a vibrant college in Leeds. You will deliver high‑quality English provision to a diverse student body, including 16‑18 year‑olds on vocational programmes, adult learners and apprentices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons across a range of levels and programmes.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support learners in overcoming barriers to learning and promote inclusive practice.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding and DBS requirements.

Required profile

• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
• Understanding of learning barriers and strategies to support diverse needs.
• Passion for student achievement and progression.
