About the role

Ealing Fields is seeking an inspirational English teacher on a one‑year fixed‑term contract starting September 2026. The role is open to newly qualified teachers (ECTs) and those currently training, offering the chance to contribute to a high‑performing department with nationally recognised outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess GCSE English curriculum to achieve outstanding examination results.
• Lead a tutor group within the pastoral year team, supporting student wellbeing.
• Engage actively with the school’s house system and broader ethos.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and share resources.

Required profile

• Good degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Ability to teach English at GCSE level.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and recent curriculum developments.
• Strong motivation to raise achievement across all ability ranges.
• Reflective practice and commitment to continuous professional development.
