English Teacher – Full‑time Temporary Placement

About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified English teachers for short‑term, full‑time placements across secondary schools in Tunbridge Wells from September to December 2026. This role offers the chance to gain diverse classroom experience while supporting students during a critical part of the academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit different classroom environments and student needs.
- Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student progress.
- Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing standards at all times.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in English.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS disclosure and any required overseas police clearances.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
