English Teacher (KS3 & KS4) – Full‑time Long‑term Supply

About the role
Veritas Education is partnering with a welcoming secondary school near Blackburn to recruit a dedicated English Teacher on a full‑time, long‑term supply basis starting in September. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess creative English lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Prepare resources and mark student work in line with the national curriculum.
- Support a range of abilities, ensuring progress for all learners.
- Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the English department and wider school team.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Positive, proactive and flexible attitude.
