English Teacher – KS3 to KS5 (Full‑time, London)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a co‑educational secondary school and sixth form in South East London. The role starts in September and is full‑time and permanent, covering Key Stages 3 to 5.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and support extracurricular clubs.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Current, enhanced DBS clearance.
• Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools (experience at any level is welcomed).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of abilities.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
