About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a large secondary school in Ealing, starting in September. The role is initially a four‑day‑a‑week contract until Christmas with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills.
- Inspire students through literature and language, encouraging creativity and critical thinking.
- Create an inclusive learning environment that challenges and supports learners of all abilities.
- Maintain a positive, safe and respectful classroom culture with high expectations.
- Contribute to the wider school community and collaborate with colleagues.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A relevant English degree or related qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A supportive, approachable teaching style and commitment to raising standards.
