About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Oxfordshire. The role involves delivering inspiring English lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates. You will work within a supportive department that values professional development and staff wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where appropriate).
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that challenges and supports all learners.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Contribute to departmental collaboration and wider school activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4; Key Stage 5 experience is advantageous.
• Passion for literature and ability to inspire reading and writing.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to staff wellbeing.
