English Teacher – Secondary School (Slough)

About the role

We are seeking an inspiring English Teacher to join a high‑performing secondary school in Slough. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to work with enthusiastic students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where appropriate).
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support students' academic progress and personal development.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and engagement.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English.
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience advantageous).
• Genuine passion for English and a commitment to inspiring young people.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Collaborative mindset and desire to support a supportive team culture.
• Ability to commute to Slough.
