English Teacher – Temp to Perm – Luton (KS3‑KS5)

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a mixed secondary school in Luton from September. The position starts on a temporary basis with the prospect of a permanent contract, covering Key Stages 3 to 5.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for KS3, KS4 and KS5.
- Assess student work, record progress and provide feedback.
- Support learners in achieving strong GCSE and A‑Level outcomes.
- Collaborate with the English department and senior leadership to maintain high academic standards.
Required profile
- Passionate about teaching English and developing students’ reading, writing and analytical skills.
- Able to work with pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Suitable for newly qualified teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced staff.
- Willing to commit to a temporary period with the aim of securing a permanent role.
