English Teacher – Temporary Full‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a qualified English teacher to join a range of secondary schools in Ashford from September to December 2026. This temporary full‑time position offers the chance to gain diverse classroom experience across several welcoming schools.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit different classroom environments and student needs.
• Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student progress.
• Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing standards at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in English.
• Ability to adapt across different school settings.
• Commitment to inspiring and engaging students.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS disclosure and any required overseas police clearances.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
