EPOS Field Service Engineer (Freelance/Contract)

About the role

We are seeking experienced EPOS Field Service Engineers to join our freelance network, supporting retail and hospitality clients across the UK. The role offers flexible, ad‑hoc assignments with competitive daily rates and the opportunity to work on a variety of technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure EPOS hardware, printers, scanners, and payment terminals on site.
• Provide break/fix support, fault diagnosis, and hardware upgrades.
• Carry out store openings, closures, and technology refresh projects.
• Perform basic network connectivity tasks and cable management.
• Complete job reports using a mobile device.
• Travel extensively, including overnight stays when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an EPOS Engineer, IT Field Engineer or similar role.
• Strong hardware installation and fault‑finding abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Own reliable vehicle and a full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home when needed.
