EQD Application Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong EQD Application Support Engineer to maintain system stability and resolve production issues within an Equities Derivatives trading environment. You will work closely with traders, developers and infrastructure teams to keep business‑critical trading platforms running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 application support for EQD trading systems.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents (P1/P2) affecting trading operations.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventative improvements.
• Monitor systems proactively and address issues before they impact the business.
• Collaborate with traders, developers and infrastructure teams.
• Support releases, deployments and day‑to‑day BAU activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in application/production support, preferably in a front‑office or trading environment.
• Knowledge of Equities and Equities Derivatives (EQD) products.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Geneos, Splunk or Dynatrace.

Required skills

• Strong Linux/Unix command‑line skills (processes, logs, troubleshooting).
• Hands‑on scripting experience with Python and/or Bash.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace).
