Equine Riding Instructor (Part‑time)

About the role
North Kent College is looking for an enthusiastic Equine Riding Instructor to join its Equine department at the Hadlow campus. The role involves teaching riding lessons, assessing learners and supporting horse care within a well‑equipped facility.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, teach and assess riding lessons across a range of ability levels.
- Allocate and supervise horses for student use, including exercising and competing them in college events.
- Maintain high standards of horse welfare together with the Equine Grooms.
- Participate in student interviews, marketing events and future applicant assessments.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to enhance the learner experience.
Required profile
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a related area.
- Recognised BHS riding instruction qualification (Stage 3 or above).
- Positive, can‑do attitude and strong coaching mindset.

What we offer
- Part‑time contract of 7.4 hours per week (1 day) or 14.8 hours per week (2 days) across 42 weeks.
- Salary of £36,547 per annum (full‑time equivalent).
- Access to two indoor arenas, a large outdoor arena, competition jumps and a mechanical horse.
- Opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
