Equipment Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our manufacturing team at Raytheon UK in Livingston. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of critical equipment used in defence and aerospace production. You will work on a range of critical products essential to military applications, supporting a culture that values first‑time‑right quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repair, routine maintenance and calibration/verification of manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain and operate environmental test chambers.
• Design, install and verify cell layouts ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Lead equipment‑engineering problem‑solving initiatives and drive continuous‑improvement projects to maximise equipment availability and predictability.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain equipment records.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and calibration within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with environmental test chambers and cell layout design.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative manufacturing team.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
