ER Case Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations (ER) Case Manager to join our growing team at our Chester head office. After an initial five‑day induction, the role moves to a hybrid model, offering flexibility while maintaining a strong on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage long‑term absence and Right‑to‑Work checking processes.
• Provide proactive ER advisory services to managers on complex people matters.
• Handle serious conduct, capability issues, suspensions and investigations.
• Support managers day‑to‑day with complex employment cases, balancing commercial constraints and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate case records and prepare documentation for hearings and appeals.
• Collaborate with the field‑based Case Management team to ensure consistent approaches.
• Coach managers on people‑management best practices.

Required profile

• Proven track record managing complex ER cases.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and its implications.
• Excellent communication style that is clear, engaging and collaborative.
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and deliver pragmatic HR risk solutions.
• CIPD qualification at any level is welcomed.
• Flexible, deadline‑driven and receptive to feedback.
