Escalator Field Trainer – Installations

About the role

Our escalator business has grown by 50 % in the last year and we are looking for an Escalator Field Trainer to support installation teams across the UK. The role combines technical training with hands‑on coaching in the field and involves regular travel and overnight stays.

Key responsibilities

• Coach apprentices, improvers and skilled engineers to develop technical competence.
• Deliver training on escalator installation, fault finding, repair and working methods.
• Provide technical support and coaching during live installation projects.
• Support the introduction of new products, tools, methods and processes.
• Identify skills gaps, carry out practical assessments and sign‑off pathways.
• Promote KONE safety, quality and installation standards.

Required profile

• Significant hands‑on escalator installation experience.
• Ability to share technical knowledge and provide constructive coaching.
• Willingness to travel nationwide with regular overnight stays.
• Genuine passion for developing people and improving quality.

Required skills

• Escalator installation.
• Fault finding and repair of escalators.
• NVQ Level 3 Escalator Installation (QCF) qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS card.
