Escalator Service Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Escalator Service Engineer to respond to call‑outs, carry out repairs and perform planned maintenance on a variety of escalators and moving walkways. The role operates on a 4‑on/4‑off 12‑hour shift pattern and requires a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, repairs, and routine maintenance visits on escalators and moving walkways.
• Work safely following health & safety procedures and company policies.
• Log all work using digital systems to support first‑time fixes.
• Participate in the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota, working a 4‑on/4‑off 12‑hour shift pattern.
• Provide high‑standard customer service and technical advice on site.

Required profile

• Experience working with escalators and/or moving walkways.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• NVQ Level 3 (or progressing with good progress).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication skills and customer‑focused mindset.
