Escalator Technician – Greater London

About the role

Stannah is seeking an experienced Escalator Technician to join its Greater London field service team. You will work on high‑profile transport infrastructure projects at locations such as Gatwick and Stansted stations, delivering safe and reliable escalator operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform escalator maintenance, inspections, surveys and technical fault resolution.
• Monitor site safety, compliance and performance of engineers and subcontractors.
• Complete risk assessments and required documentation for each job.
• Manage technical queries, materials procurement and client communication.
• Produce clear process documentation and cost reporting to support operational decisions.
• Mentor and train field engineers to build capability and consistency across the team.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in escalator installation, refurbishment, maintenance or repair.
• Proven ability to work independently on safety‑critical infrastructure.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts on a 4‑on‑4‑off pattern.
