ESEL Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking detail‑oriented ESEL Surveyors to carry out pre‑installation surveys in retail and supermarket stores across the UK. You will visit sites ahead of the Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) installation teams, assess shelving layouts and calculate the number of labels required to ensure a smooth rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site pre‑installation surveys in retail environments.
• Identify shelf rail types, measure shelving dimensions and record configurations.
• Count and calculate the exact ESL requirements for each store.
• Complete accurate survey reports using the company’s reporting system.
• Obtain customer sign‑off where required and flag any potential installation risks.
• Communicate findings clearly to project and installation teams.

• Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, customer‑focused attitude.
