About the role
The Estate Secretary provides high‑level administrative support to the Estate Manager and Head of Trades at Dodington Park Estate, a historic Georgian property on the Cotswold Escarpment. You will ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations, maintain records, and help coordinate projects, health & safety, and estate events.
Key responsibilities
- Provide PA support to senior estate staff, managing inboxes, calendars and correspondence.
- Maintain the estate’s electronic filing system, photo archive and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare minutes for weekly team meetings and record health & safety data.
- Handle asset verification, goods receipt, deliveries and vehicle fleet administration.
- Raise purchase orders, process credit‑card claims, manage petty cash and order refreshments.
- Update contractor insurance details, approved contractor list and organise training.
- Coordinate estate social events, noticeboard information and driving‑licence records.
- Assist with archiving projects, health surveillance, budget preparation and ad‑hoc finance, HR and health‑safety tasks.
Required profile
- Excellent organisational abilities and a professional manner.
- Highly computer literate with strong administrative experience.
- Proven experience supporting senior management or directors.
- Confident communicator able to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive, flexible and willing to take responsibility.
