Estates & Facilities Management Trainer

About the role

The Estates & Facilities Management (EFM) Trainer will join the Training & Development Team of Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. Working closely with the EFM Training & Development Manager, you will deliver classroom and practical training to build a competent, safe, and high‑quality facilities workforce that supports patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate classroom‑based and hands‑on training programmes for the EFM workforce.
• Support new starters through induction, ensuring they acquire the knowledge and confidence required for their roles.
• Conduct follow‑up observations and competency assessments for both new and existing staff.
• Contribute to the Trust’s Learning & Development strategy under the guidance of the EFM Training & Development Manager.
• Maintain accurate training records and report on progress against learning objectives.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and motivated with a passion for developing people.
• Experience in delivering training in a health‑care or facilities‑management environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to assess competence and provide constructive feedback.
• Commitment to health‑and‑safety standards and NHS values.
