Estates Manager – Client Side – West London

About the role

This is a client‑side Estates Manager position within a well‑established privately owned retail business operating across the UK and Ireland. Based in West London, you will join a high‑performing property team responsible for a large portfolio of stores in shopping centres, retail parks and high streets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a nationwide retail property portfolio and support the overall estate strategy.
• Negotiate lease renewals, rent reviews, re‑gears and new store acquisitions directly with landlords and agents.
• Work with finance teams to appraise deals and assess store profitability.
• Liaise with legal teams to ensure efficient, cost‑effective transaction delivery.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on store refits and new openings.
• Maintain relationships with landlords, managing agents and external consultants.
• Support rating and service‑charge matters alongside specialist advisors.
• Provide market insight and contribute to strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• MRICS qualification.
• 3‑5 years’ experience in retail property, either in private practice or client‑side.
• Strong landlord and tenant experience, including rent reviews and lease renewals.
• Commercial mindset linking property decisions to business performance.
• Confident negotiator with excellent communication skills.
• Organised and able to work at pace across a busy portfolio.
