Estates Services Technician – Plumbing (South)

About the role

The Estates Services Technician (South – Plumbing) will deliver a multi‑skilled maintenance service across all Trust properties, with a focus on high‑quality plumbing. You will work in both inpatient and community settings across Greater Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive maintenance across Trust sites, specialising in plumbing services.
• Lead complex plumbing diagnoses and repairs on plant and equipment, advising on risks.
• Perform minor electrical and joinery tasks as part of a multi‑skilled service.
• Support the delivery of a quality estates function and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Train and mentor new apprentices and T‑level students through on‑the‑job guidance and shadowing.

Required profile

• Fully qualified plumber with experience in a healthcare or similar environment.
• Competent in minor electrical and joinery work.
• Ability to lead complex diagnoses and communicate risks effectively.
• Willingness to support apprentices and contribute to team development.
