Estimator – Building & Refurbishment

About the role

We are seeking an Estimator to support a busy construction business that delivers commercial and domestic building and refurbishment projects. The role is office‑based in Rochdale and will involve working closely with the management team from tender stage through to project completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for commercial and domestic projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Produce cost plans, valuations and project cost reports.
• Procure materials and place orders with suppliers, scheduling deliveries to meet project timelines.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Support project cost control and budget management.
• Assist with commercial delivery from tender to completion.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Estimator, Assistant Estimator, Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role in construction.
• Strong understanding of building and refurbishment works.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
