Estimator – Churches, Abbeys & Listed Buildings

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Estimator to specialise in heritage projects such as churches, abbeys and other listed buildings. You will join a family‑run construction firm with over 30 years of experience, delivering high‑end projects across London.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, value‑engineered cost estimates for ground works, piling and basement restoration on heritage sites.
• Identify risks and opportunities in tender documents and support Quantity Surveying functions.
• Visit listed buildings to assess site conditions and gather data for estimations.
• Prepare detailed quotations, negotiate terms and hand over successful bids to the operations team.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the enquiry‑to‑award process.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
• Background or strong interest in estimating for heritage or listed structures.
• Based in Isleworth or able to commute easily to Twickenham.
• Junior‑level experience or recent graduate looking to develop into a fully qualified Estimator.

Required skills

• Knowledge of groundworks, piling and basement construction techniques.
• Understanding of cost estimation principles for civil and structural projects.
• Familiarity with heritage building constraints and regulations.
