Estimator – Civil & Environmental Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a specialist consultancy’s Bids and Business Development team. Based in Warminster with hybrid working, you will support civil and environmental projects across the UK, delivering accurate costings and high‑quality proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of civil engineering and environmental schemes.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and site requirements to produce robust tenders.
• Draft and compile bid documents and written proposals.
• Source, evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Attend site visits with engineers and specialists to assess project needs.
• Collaborate with internal project managers, engineers and technical leads to refine bid information.
• Support bid administration and ensure submissions meet tender deadlines.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage workloads to strict deadlines.
