Estimator – Curtain Walling

About the role

We are seeking an Estimator specialising in curtain walling to join our construction recruitment consultancy. You will produce accurate cost estimates for high‑end architectural glazing systems, supporting our clients across the building envelope sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling, glazing and rainscreen cladding.
• Review tender documents and deliver high‑quality tender returns.
• Use specialist estimating software to calculate material costs.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and gather quotations.
• Build and maintain relationships with main contractors throughout projects.
• Keep the internal CRM system up‑to‑date.
• Prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven estimating experience within the building envelope market.
• Strong technical knowledge of façades, curtain walling, windows, doors, glazing and rainscreen systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical, numerical and commercial awareness.
• Proactive, motivated and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Experience with Schueco estimating software.
• Experience with Logikal estimating software.

What we offer

• Salary range £30,000 – £40,000 per year plus profit‑related bonus.
