Estimator – Foundations, Civil & Geotechnical (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Estimator with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering to join our family‑run construction firm. You will work on high‑profile London projects, focusing on foundations, groundworks, piling and basement restoration while receiving one‑to‑one training.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, value‑engineered cost estimates for foundations, groundworks, piling and basement works.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, preparing detailed quotations and negotiating terms.
• Identify risks and opportunities in tenders and support quantity‑surveying functions and post‑project reviews.
• Visit heritage and other sites to carry out on‑site estimations for ground works and basements.
• Ensure seamless hand‑over of awarded contracts to the operations team.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline).
• Based in Isleworth or able to commute to the site.
• Motivation to develop into a fully qualified estimator within a supportive, promotion‑from‑within environment.

Required skills

• Cost estimation for foundations, groundworks and basements.
• Quantity surveying support and post‑project review.
• Site assessment for heritage buildings, piling and ground works.
• Preparation of detailed quotations and contract negotiation.
