Estimator

About the role

Our client, a specialist in the machining sector, is seeking a permanent Estimator to join their busy production team. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will play a key part in translating technical drawings and repair plans into accurate cost quotations.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate job costs using the EFACS ERP system.
• Interpret sketches, drawings and detailed repair plans to determine task times in a conventional machine shop.
• Source material and subcontractor prices and compile complete repair quotes for customers.
• Maintain and update calculation records in a database, using the data to improve estimating efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to quality, cost control and delivery.
• Accurate, flexible approach to estimating tasks.
• Mechanical engineering or machining background.
• Ability to work effectively within a small, multi‑disciplined team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically EFACS.

• 37‑hour week (Mon‑Thu 07:30‑16:00, Fri 07:30‑12:30).
